Ken moved to Skagway 14 years ago for a summer job and ended up staying... he has been here ever since. He first worked as archeologist for the National Park Service for 6 years. Freelance photographer. BA photography Arizona State U. Skiing and ice climbing. AMGA top-rope instructor. Has bolted some climbing routes at the local Black Lakes crag.
Part-time archaeologist, photographer, recreational skier, and hiking/kayaking guide, Ken keeps busy all year long in Skagway, Alaska. It is virtually impossible to stump this guide when it comes to SE Alaska’s ecology, geology, and history. When not guiding, Ken can be found teaching crevasse rescue to the local Search and Rescue unit, or remodeling his bathroom, or capturing a time-lapse photo of the Aurora Borealis.
