Denise started playing in the great outdoors during college, and began guiding shortly thereafter. While it has its own lovely natural qualities, her home state of Pennsylvania pales in comparison to Alaska's grandeur. In her fourth year in Skagway, and her third year with Packer, Denise is keen to become a better kayaker, and to finally climb Face Mountain.

Denise is an avid runner, plays upright bass, and bakes amazing apple pies. She's an EMT, so just by being around her, your life expectancy goes up. She has dynamite credit, nice white teeth, and can hurl a spatula with deadly accuracy. She can wiggle her ears, and will crush you at Scrabble. She's never broken a bone or had a cavity. Children trust her.
